MODERN HEAT.
ANCIENT CALM.
Dear Neighbors,
Our sauna lounge was created for slowness. For lingering past the hour, for retreating when the world presses too hard. Within these cedar walls time stretches and thoughts grow loud before they finally unravel. Here you may rest when the world says rush, pause when the clock insists move. It is the hiss of the löyly, water striking stone, skin awakened in color. In that awakening, the noise inside grows quiet and clarity takes its place. Some find fellowship on a shared bench; others face themselves in solitude, alone but not apart. Both belong. Come as you are, stay until stillness is complete.
Warmly, Your Neighborhood Sauna

CONTRAST THERAPY
Cold descends, sudden and absolute.
A shock that bites the skin and steals the breath. Between sauna rounds, cold water falls swift and unforgiving — clean, moving, no floating résumé of strangers.Blood stirs. The mind clears. The senses sharpen.
Heat teaches the body to open. Cold teaches it to hold. In the alternation, the nervous system relearns its rhythm.
In the brief collision of chill and warmth, the body strengthens.

HYDRATION
Every cycle needs its sidekick. For sauna, it is hydration. Sweat smarter, not harder. A hydrated body regulates heat more efficiently, allowing deeper sessions with less strain. Sip before, replenish after, and keep the body from staging a dehydration revolt.
Filtered water, herbal tea, and electrolytes are complimentary - bright, bracing, restorative. Drink deeply, your organs will thank you.

Sauna Step-by-Step
First Rinse. Shower before entering the sauna. This will open your pores and remove fragrances, oil and odor.
Heat. Enter the hot sauna for the first round. Increase to desired heat and humidity by applying water to stones.
Cool. Leave the hot sauna when you feel warm and relaxed. Do not extend your time beyond your comfort level. Be sure to use the cold barrel rinse for contrast therapy..
Heat Again. Take a second round in the hot sauna and increase your time with comfortability.
Cool Again. In your time between hot cycles, utilize the cold contrast, sit, read, chat with friends and enjoy a healthy beverage.
Repeat. Cycle as many times as meets your comfort. For most people, three rounds is usually enough.
Final Rinse. Enjoy a final refreshing shower while using our non-toxic aromatic products.
Upon Exiting. Place your towels and robes in the appropriate laundry bins.
Respect the Etiquette
Shower with soap before entering the sauna. This helps maintain cleanliness throughout the space, and ensures you’ll be fresh before entering the sauna.
Sit on a towel to prevent contact with the sauna bench. This promotes hygiene, comfort and personal space.
Wear only swim attire and provided slides while in the sauna and cool-off areas. Street clothes, sneakers or nudity are not allowed.
Keep conversations quiet and respectful.
Abstain from the use of mobile phones or other electronic devices while in the sauna.
Allow others to comfortably exit and enter the sauna.
Refrain from stretching or exercising.
Avoid excessive splashing of water on sauna rocks.
Let the warm glow of Dear Sauna follow you out the door.
Built for calm over crowds.
Dear Sauna is a Finnish-style sauna lounge in Littleton, Colorado. Founded by native Coloradans, we trade modern wellness trends for a deep respect for tradition, hospitality, and the restorative power of doing less.
We built this space for those seeking something calmer than a gym sauna, more intentional than a commercial spa, and entirely distinct from a sterile infrared room.
Our electric-heated saunas are designed strictly around the principles that make a sauna true: proper heat, löyly/steam, and enough quiet for the body to actually respond. Here, the pace is slower. The lighting softer. A place to return to time and time again.
